you maybe don't know, but in the netherlands this is really wrong.
golden name necklaces. In the netherlands wrong people wear these.
with names like anita or kelly, with matching boy friends like sjonnie and
vincent.
it's massively wrong what makes it right! and makes it one of the things you'll
do with your sun glasses en shorts.

i'm not sure yet if i'm going to buy a golden one or a silver one with my name in
it.

another thing is,

i'm really busy at the moment. tomorrow last day of class at school

i couldn't wait to post more 'bout moi,

so my dress is now at an exposition @ Streetlab Amsterdam.
the exposition is about inovative design. and this is my dress:

This dress is totally made of garbage bags and tule. no sewing, only melting! the concept behind this was over protecting, you couldn't do your own thing, you want to scream, but nothing is possible. thats why her hand can't move and het head is stuck by the colar.

and further i've had this project with school to make a tapestry for Henrik Vibskov and Andreas Emenius! YOU KNOW WHAT! Charlotte and I had worked a week together with Vibskov and Emenius to put the finishing touches on the whole exhebition @ de Zeeuws Museum in Middelburg. THEY ALSO got us onstage at the opening for a THANKS and a gift!(SOCKS AND A SIGNED BOOK!)...

first of all i would like to wish
you all a happy (chinese) new year.

2009 a year which will start with
change(OBAMA?) and a year of
chances, beginnings and endings,
love, fun and joy. just remember
to seize the day.

i'm sorry for not writing the last
weeks. it had been a really heavy
and though month. did a lot for
school and had to find my own
happy place. i mean in my physical
and mental space.

but i'm doing good again. i stopped
with my high school thing, so i'm
now an official high school drop-out.
what to do? you need to make sacrifices.
take responsibility and make priorities
there was no feeling it was useful for
myself. there was no discipline in me.

but @ the academy it goes well.
i just finished my first semester,
getting all my study-points! hurray!
the picture above is one of my skirt.
it's called the save grenade. the
concept behind it is about construction,
deconstruction and reconstruction.

i picked up my guitar skills again.
so i'm happy and started to play
a lot of technical stuff by leo brouwer
and i started with recuerdos de la
alhambra. just search it on youtube!

i just got the unmastered EP by WOOT.
the band formerly known as Concrete.
TvT plays the drums and i'm listening
to it right now.

it sounds really great. there music has
really grown in these past months.

i bought an album by "tiago la is losing the plot".
and it's just wonderful. nothing more and
nothing less.

and i've seen into the wild. which made me
take a lot of decisions. and i learned that
even clever people can be to naive sometimes.

i'm reading poems by charles bukowski and
still haven't finished the short stories by miranda
july(almost!).

i just wanted to say,
i'm back........ again

and i'm happy.

i will write soon again.

i should've been at school @ 8:50.
but i totally woke up @ 8:37...

so i was too late,..

but the teacher was absent,
today. ofcourse i didn't knew
that. so arrived @ the
screenprint class i got the info.

just finished unpacking my bag,
my phone rang, and it was a
friend of mine which also studies
@ the KABK.

he asked: "Wanna join for a cup
of coffee?". "Ofcourse." I said.

so we went for a cup of coffee
which took us almost 4 hours.

i've seen the city inside-out,..
we went testing the furniture@
debijenkorf, drinking coffee
and eating applepie@dudok,
brain-storming about design
and walked around.

so it was a very productive day!

finally back@class my classmates
asked:"Where have you been?"
"Coffee drinking,.." I said.
they responded that it must have
been a really big cup of coffee,..

i've done pretty productive thing,..

i've been back from Warsaw.
and i've been to Antwerp and
back again.

Warsaw is a beautiful city,
thats it. there is no more
about it. the shopping sucked,
the girls looked great @ the
shopping malls(i prefer
brunettes), the beer was a bit
strong and the going out scene
was just like hollywood's (a
really bad, 14year old kids,
disco in rotterdam).

chapter Warsaw is closed.

Antwerp i've been to with
TvT, RvK and DC. we drove to
Antwerp on monday morning,
slept there in some louzy hotel
and drove back thuesday.

we've been shopping (which caused me
to buy a. boon gloves, walter van
beirendonck scarf, casio watch), chillin'
and ate some nice sushi.

it's been a while, i've been busy.
already 6 weeks of KABK. i'm
getting used to it. it's a lot of fun.
there are nice people and also
less nice people. boring people
and inspiring people.

last weekend there was the Today's
Art Festival in The Hague. i've seen
a few bands. the nicest thing i saw
was on saturday night, Nouvelle Vague.

they only sing covers. all different kinds
of punk and new wave but in a new style.
joy division, sex pistols, the dead kennedy's,
and a lot more.

saturday was also the opening of "Beatles For Sale"
in Gallery V!P's Art Amsterdam. a lot of photography
by different photographers of the Beatles.

my brother will turn 25 this saturday(10-04).
he went to miami yesterday, just for fun....

so first something about paris.
we left the hague wednesday early
in the morning(06:00) and with
bus we started heading for paris.

we stopped in somewhere near
antwerp and went to a really weird
museum called the "Verbeke
Foundation". they had an
exposition there called "kinetic art"

so here comes the nasty part. the
things which were kinetic ([Origin:
1850–55; <>kīnétikós moving,
equiv. to kīné- (verbid s. of kīneǐn
to move) + -tikos) were alreayd dead.

so further on the nasty part. the thing
which they called kinetic wasn't really
kinetic. they moved very slow...
it was more like (choos one of the folowing):
sever, break down, adjourn, dissolve, rot,
decay, deteriorate, perish, degenerate,
fall into decline, dissolving, separating.

after the bad smell of dead animals
and human bodyparts.

we went to paris.

leaving antwerp behind us.

in paris we went to the cemetiere du pere lachaise.
the cemetairy were a lot of famous people are burried.

and we went to the valentino excebition in the museam
of decorating arts and we went to mont martre for textile.

so paris was nice.

im back in nl for about 48 hours now.
tired. didn't sleep in the plane./

so what happened in china you wanna know?

i ended allround 7th, so no medal for me.
thats not bad tough...

i had fun, thats the most important thing.
i enjoyed, thats the other most important thing.
i mad friend, thats also important.
and i partyed alllllllll nightttttt longgggggg,.

so saturday was like that and became sunday
out of the blue.

i was in my room at 0800 and needed to pack!!
so packed my stuff, slept for an hour and ended
up at the airport around 11 am.

back in nl i've already had two days of kabk.
tomorrow leaving for paris until saturday evening.
so need to pack my bags again,..

i just finished my first routine.
taiji jian. it went fabulouse!

i did it almost to relaxed.
and the best thing is:
my father is proud
(thats the most difficult

i got a 9.53. which made me
6th of the eight. behind me ended
korea and singapore.

and the folowing countrys ended
higher than me:

china got a 9.90.

this is just the beginning.
because it an all round thing,
everything still can happen.

i wanted to write about the things i CANT do.
it's a small list. i'm great. i can do everything!

- can't play any kind of blow instrument.
- can't fly.

i saw "i'm not there" today.
you know, the movie about
bob dylan, but his name is
not mentioned in the whole
film.

it was awesome! i loved the
"cate blanchett bob" so
refined. she was a man! a bad
boy. and still extremely
feminine. i really hated her in
BABEL. also the "christian bale
bob" was really nice. really cool.
but far most impressing "bob"
was by marcus carl franklin.
just so lovely, a kid with a
guitare running to catch the train.

the bob by ben whishaw was very
nice. i liked the monologue he had.
and he was the narrator of all six
different dylan's in the film.

the soundtrack was omgosh, i mean
it almost hit my number one on the
list of fave's soundtracks(number
one is the ost of "garden state").

so now in love with the music by bob
dylan and also with the artists of the
soundtrack.

it's a deffinetely 4 out of 5 stars. what

so my dad arrived in zhengzhou
yesterday. and he will leave the 12th.
so he saw me training today. he said
it was alllwright.

uhm.

and furter on, i slept until 1030
and was called awake by coach wang
asking me if i wanted to get some
lunch with him and my dad. i said
alllwright.

only a afternoon training. and dinner
again with my dad and the coaches
from the henan province team.

they drunk a lot, and i drunk orange juice
(it was freshly squuezed, hurray!)

and i just thought that i needed to post something,
i need to keep my promise with my publishings
twice a day...

until now i only told about the moments.
but i haven't told anything about the
tomorrows.

i will leave zhengzhou the 17th of august.
the competition in beijing will start the
21st. but it's my turn on the evenings
of the 22nd and 22rd. on the 24th i will
fly back home again.

but what happens after that?

thats what i'm going to tell you know.

you know i don't like to talk about the
future. this is no future, this is more
like tomorrow. it is still a mistery. but
there is already a plan what to do.

the 25th i will start my study at the KABK.
the royal academy of fine arts in the hague.
Koniglijke Academie Beeldende Kunsten.
i loooove the name. i'm going to do
textile & fashion design. the 27th we will go
to paris with the faculty.

i'm also going to do VOVA. it's high school
for high school dropouts. Hurray, i'm a high
school dropout. i didn't finish my high school,
but it isn't my fault. i only had 0.2 points
shortcomming for chemistry. otherwise i
would had my certificate.

but a lot of famous artist are dropouts.
highschool dropouts, family dropouts,
social environmental dropouts.

we have to be different.

but i'm still positive.

if i did finish high school, i would have
entered the academy of fine arts in antwerp,
maybe,... but it's al mistery now. ya know,..

so studying at the academy, i will go to
korea in september for the tafisa. a thing
like the olympics, but for sport that aren't
really olympic events.

and maybe to the european championships
in polen, if i can leave school so much.

later this year i will go to hawaii with my
brother, my sweet sweet brother....

in 2009 i hope to finish my first year ba at the
KABK and enter the academy in Antwerp.

dwarsstraat and at the end go left. you will be at

and there you are at vips international art gallery.
say hi to my brother and get something to drink.
afterwards look at those extremely b e a u tiful
pieces of art. and at the end before you go.

the solar eclipse. i was training
and were told there would be
a solar eclipse the same day.

but it was all foggie outside,
so we were al like whatever,..
back to training. it goes alright.
i'm on schedule if you look at
my taolu routine. my swords
goes almost perfectly. but my
quan needs to be perfectionised
(if i can post a short clip i will).
further on i only need to train
my stamina and nandu's (degree
of difficulty). so this is all going
well. only i need to change my
mood everyday to training mode
where mood doesn't play a part.

when i walked to the cafeteria,
in the evening, i totally forgot
about the solar eclipse. but
everyone outside was looking
at the sky. and there it was!
i wasn't able to take pictures,
because i was a bit late.

i've been in zhengzhou now for almost 24 hours.
i've already got drug withdrawal symptoms(the
drugs i use are big city's). i miss beijing.

i forgot to tell you guys something. i know you're
curious. but it's like not really very important.
next to the american apparel store located at 3.3
is the world largest adidas flagship store. 4 floors
of 3 stripes and trefoil. also y-3 and stella mccartney
are presented in this huge building. when you enter
the store the first thing you get to see are the 18 shoes
which are designed for the 18 different official olympic
events. they aren't for sale.

so back to zhengzhou. i arrived at the airport with
another delay of 2 hours. because the bcia had a traffic
jam(with airplanes). i was starved when i finally
arrived at jiankanglu. so i went out for some quick
dinner(beef noodles, which were really yummy).

so i need to share another thing with you.

i had diarrhea.

yawho!!!! (don't want to make an
advertisement)

so one day beijing i had to shop.
together with my brother we went
to the better places to shop. Xi Dan,
silk market for some gifts and 3.3 .

It's so unbelieveable that in beijing
the american apparel will open two
store at ones. again. american apparel
in communism china. again. american
and communism,... hmmm, thats not
right?

i got a really nice thing for myself. i had
the plan already a week!! i went trough
the film for my polaroid camera. so i
needed to buy some. but i already knew,
that would be inpossible(polaroid is
bankrupt and closed al there factory's
early 2008). so i wanted to have a fujifilm
instant photocamera. and i finally got one!
today!(i know you think i'm a spoiled brat)

Which i am. (i knew what you were thinking)

so,..

tomorrow i'm going back to zhengzhou.
and that's also the reason why i'm like
hotel room alone(it's a new movie from the
makers of "home alone"). my brother is with
some of our beijing ker mer 's(chinese for bro's)
chillin', and i'm back on our room already
resting for the training that will start again.

BEIJING
what can i say. it changes man!
just like how people change.
but Beijing will always be a great
friend of mine.

So i left Zhengzhou at 6:30
because my flight was at 9:40.
and they told me it was wise to
be at the airport 3 hours infront
time of departure. it's like really
busy the flights to beijing.

i arived good in time, but the
airplane came 2 hours late....

so finally arrived in beijing, i
changed my return date to
zhengzhou. this way i could
hang out a day more with my
bro.

Zo mijn scheet stinkt!

i went to the hotel, had a short
rest and went to the studio for
the television show. it was like
the chinese david letterman.
200 miljion watchers!!!!!!!!!!

so back to the hotel i changed,
and my brother and i went to
houhai(where the starbucks is
in the hutong's). and waited
there for my beijing friends.

we had a drink and i sang a
song in a bar behind the
keyboard. after wards we
went to a club called "angel".
but i wanted to go to "mix"
,we didn't because it's closed
durin' the olympics.

i forgot how fun was in china.
i mean beijing. chivas regal,
green tea, and waterpipe's!!!

owh and i'm still livin'
didn't say the wrong words on
tv.

and i'm glad that there are more
people reading my blog.

and i didn't get a nice manager...

but you know, whatever!

yeah, i ate korean food today! hurray!
sick of all the cafeteria chinese. so
went eating with some peeps.

further there is nothing i want to say...

hi,

before reading this, go to youtube, search for the strokes last
night or oasis cigarettes & alcohol.

so after my last post i walked downstairs and was asked if i
wanted to join the zhengzhou wushu team with dinner tonight.
i couldn't say no. i wore my new adidas shoes and went with
them to some kind of peking duck restaurant(whe were
in zhengzhou).

the rest is history, i mean i just drunk tooooo much. i even
marked my new shoes with my own puke! yeeh. i've got a
photo of my new shoes..

i also have a picture of the erqi(two seven) tower, but i
changed it to the sanqi(three seven) tower.

and the other pictures are from the food we had, but not
all the food we had. at some moment i lost it. one is a
picture of some snow pear drenched in red wine. the other
one from a kettle with skewers from the inside of a cow
(it was a dish specialy for me because it would bring good
luck). there is a other picture of a beer bottle. the beer was
called kangstar (change k for g and r fot h then you get
gangstah) and was made in zhengzhou.

i also met a kid which great great great father was dzjengis khan.
you know. mongolian emperor. there is a official familytree. and
he was making non-stop fun about it, if there was no qing
dynasty he would be the emperor of china now.

yeeh i took a lot of pictures today!
but there is a but!

the but is for later, now i'm first
going to tell you some things, i think.

yes i'm going to tell you some things.

today i only had a training in the
morning. at the end of the training the
coach said i need to run around the
gym for the upcomming 20 minutes.
and he needed to leave already.
so it was only me against the floor of
the gym.

i ran 5 minutes. and went back to my
room.

the next thing is that i wanted to see
the skate scene here in zhengzhou.
they don't really have a skatepark here.
only some kind of bench and concrete
blocks.
there was only one guy (the owner (he
is a member of the asian quicksilver
team and nike sb team) of the
skystreetwear store zhengzhou (there
are 5 stores around china) here i bought
my nike sb bag) skating. and i took
pictures of him too but here comes the
problem.

i did it with my polaroid and i
haven't brought my scanner with
me! duh.

so like next time i go outside(that would
be in 9 minutes) i need to bring my
DIGITAL camera.

so i've been here for almost a week now.
training everyday. hard. food which looks
like the inside of a cow but is vegetables.
musqito's big as your 5 eurocent coin.
which lies underneath the italian sofa.

the room still smells weird, and the shower
stays cold or is extremly hot. you're
sweating non-stop, like you're in a sauna.
that reminds me of a tell sell commercial
(you know those on tv). The Saunabelt.

i need to pinch myself awake, it's a
dream. tomorrow i've got only one training
in the morning. after the training the coach
will take me too some nice place too shop.
some kind of new shopping mall.

so back from the shopping mall. IKEA.
you know. blue and yellow. new shopping
mall. he did not lie. it's new in china. i don't
blame him. i just blame myself for not staying
home because of my belly-ache.

i did not know. that the people working in the
IKEA in china looked the same as the people
working in the IKEA in Amsterdam. you know.
caucasians, and you would expect asian people.
they looked like clones! i'm sure it's a sect.
energyless people dressed in ugly coloured
outfits (yellow and blue!).

but further on. this was all fiction. except the
food thing and musqito thing, and that i only
have one training tomorrow in the morning.
and my room really smells weird. and the
shower doesn't work properly. they don't even
have a IKEA in Zheng Zhou! where is the Shurgards,
Smart Tower, Karwei? i'm starting to miss the
stupid windmill, clog wearing, tullip planting
country.

i always catch myself drooling when i'm
asleep,.. my pillow is like wet (the
feeling that it has rained on my pillow)

i got it,... the buzzlightyear backpack! there was no training this morning, so i went to the bank to change some money. and on my way back i was stopped(you know i felt the positive energy there)at some skateshop. i walked inside the store,.. and there it was! the backpack!

i bought it and went back to my room in the dorm,.. i started to count the pockets in the bag and lost the count a few times,.. so now i'm like tired of countin'.

remember: don't buy stuff made by apple, it will make you socialy disturbed (i'm talking to my macbookpro, sleeping with my ipod, textmessaging with my iphone)

so i'm just back from the cafeteria. a bit disappointed. i brought my camera. i hoped to see the chicks again and to take a picture of them to show them to you al back home. i'm not talking "whow look at that chick with her nice ***"-way but in "look at that mom chicken with her small chicks surrounding her"-way. for sure i'm saying it again:cute little baby chickens. so further on, i'm talking chicks. fried ones. baked ones. cooked ones. disgusting ones,.. before i went to the cafeteria i ate 2 different burgers at a local snackbar/breadstore thing, because i was afraid that i need to eat those chicks again(whe are still talking chicken...). the food was like really good today, and i was already stuffed.. there was some kind of thick noodles stir fried(realllyy yummy), some kind of fish(i didn't trust because whe're like 350 miles away from sea and it's really warm in china), some paksoi(what was good) and a lot of other dishes i did not even could indentify...

i'm starting to get more readers,... hurray! we reached the 6 persons level!
let's work further on and get the other 6 even quicker!

i forgot to tell everyone who is reading my blog(exactly 4 persons) why i'm in china,..
i practice wushu, that's a chinese martial art(those 4 persons know). follow this link for more info(those 4 don't have to): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wushu_(sport). so i'm in china to practice and prepare for the wushu parallel olympic event (after this called wulympics). i got qualified during the worlds, november 2007 in beijing. i do the slow healthy taiji event (what i don't call healthy, because it's body breaking when practiced at this level). the wulympics will start the 21st, but my event is @ the evening of the 22nd and one more the evening of the 23rd(whe are talking august otherwise i'm finished for sure!).

next post is about food,.. yeah!

july 2008, 21:15. i just saw toy story on the internet. i got so
bored because there is like nothing here. only thirty adidas stores
around the corner (more than all the macdo's here in this borin' city).
i've trained twice today. it's alright,...
